The vinyl music industry has had somewhat of a revival the last decade or so, although many will say it never died in the first place! As I was scouring the internet for new Halloween collectibles to write about I happened to come across not one but four collectible vinyl albums all having either been recently released or are soon to be released. While not all of these albums are directly tied to Halloween, I think you'll agree that they still fit nicely in a Halloween countdown feature! Two vinyl LPs from WaxWork Records will be featured here in Vinyl Revival (Part 1) and three more surprise vinyl albums will be featured later tonight in Vinyl Revival (Part 2).
First up we have the Friday the 13th LP. For $27.00 you can own one of these amazing versions of the Friday the 13th vinyl from WaxWork Records! Something to keep in mind for collectors is that this is the first time the complete original film score has been released on vinyl! Below you can see two of the variants of the vinyl itself which include the Woodland Green w/ Bloodspatter version & The Crystal Lake Murky Green version. There is also a split version and a version that includes blood filled vinyl, however those were limited to 100 and I'm not sure if they are still available. Below the two pictures of the records themselves are the front cover art and the back cover art which comprise the full gatefold jacket. Also included with the record are exclusive liner notes from Sean Cunningham and Harry Manfredini. Click the back cover art to see a full track listing and click the front cover art to be taken to WaxWork Records order page!

Next up is the vinyl release of the Trick 'R Treat score, and similar to the Friday the 13th vinyl is the first time that those tracks have been released on vinyl! The Trick 'R Treat release features liner notes from director Michael Dougherty and composer Douglas Pipes and will available in four different versions (some of which are featured below). The album also comes with an 11" by 22" poster and an exclusive bonus spooky sound FX album! Yes, you read that correctly, WaxWork Records has acquired some of the original sounds and sound effects from the film and have compiled them into a sound FX album similar to the ones you used to buy at your local pharmacy on cassette tape back in the day! Click here to be taken to WaxWork's soundcloud page to preview three tracks from the album and one track from the sound FX bonus. The four variants of the album will feature a candy corn splatter vinyl, a black and orange swirl vinyl, and orange vinyl, and a picture disc vinyl. I couldn't find a price listed for this one, but the pre-order date is listed as October 14th. Click the cover art to be taken to WaxWork Records website to check out the info including a complete track listing and add it to your bookmarks so you can pre-order on October 14th!
