Many of us horror fans are also comic book nerds, and what better way to celebrate than free Halloween themed or horror themed comic books! Every year, the last Saturday in October, which happens to fall exactly on Halloween this year, participating comic book stores around the nation offer an event that has been dubbed "Halloween ComicFest"! The event acts as sort of a sister event to "Free Comic Book Day" which usually is held in May and offers several different free comic books. The cool thing about the Halloween ComicFest is that most or all of the comics have a Halloween or horror spin to them, or at least their covers. Check out some of my favorite free comic books being offered this year below and don't forget to check out your local comic book store on October 31 for some amazing free Halloween comics!
